I dont KNOW anything about mods, skins, or anything. I dont know what they are, what they do, why they do it, and so on. If you could please explain these to me, i would greatly apreciate it! !Thanks
Well for mods there is shrub website @ http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/shrub/ Details: It is designed primarily to give admins increased control over every aspect of gameplay so that they may craft a unique form of playing. These controls include how points are assigned, what weapons are allowed, what kind of actions are permissible, and how various in-game objects are handled. Second are conveniences for the player, including such functions as shoving other players out of the way, comprehensive statistics, automated reminders based on team composition, automated recommendations of who should revive (which medic is closest) and who to give ammo to (who has the greatest need, while factoring in distance from the LT), and more! No download required just connect to a server.
Then there is OSP website @ http://www.orangesmoothie.com/ Details: Basically only mod that is NOT serverside only which requires a download. Typically server will have download enabled so you should be able to download it very very slowly off server. Anyways this is basically used for clans & their matches nothing really changed gameplay wise.
Lastly there is the bani mod website @ http://bani.anime.net/banimod/ Details: Banimod is a server-side mod which fixes many of the existing bugs and cheats in stock RTCW. For admins, banimod provides many new powerful features for controlling your servers. For players, banimod introduces unique new gametypes (goldrush included), player classes, and game modes. Every feature in banimod is optional and can be completely disabled if desired.
As for skins they change what your player looks like or how it appears to you. They change that for a variety of reasons from making soliders look cool to being slightly easier to see.
Hope that helps you out that's basically a little info on almost every mod (major anyway) that's out now.
Thanks alot! That helps quite a bit. :)
