Interesting. There is a "Jedi School", and religion hundreds of thousand of members... Now Australia is probably full of tribes swinging around swords like a lightsaber .

At least I know the counters :D... If I ever go to Australia.

According to some of my relatives, it does exist, as they have seen it...

America has a Jedi religion too. If 20,000 people put iton their tax forms it becomes official. They also have the Church of the Burnt Onion Ring, The Church of Shatnerism (dedicated to William Shatner) and the Church of the Spinning Hampster Wheel. Idiots.

You forgot the Curch under the Gospel of the Flying Spagetti Monster.

Yeah it's a religion, though it's specifics I am unsure of, I'm pretty sure that most beleivers don't think that they can use the force, but that there is a force like... force out there, a sort of destiny. For the most part beleivers follow the jedi code, and/or join the Jedi Chefs, which while not being mostly made up of beleivers, practice some jedi teachings, such as training with a lightsaber, albeit plexiglass or plastic, but still they duel in parking lots. They also cook, not with lightsabers, but they cook and wear chefhats, hense the Jedi Chefs. If I recall the actor that played Jar Jar is a member, and no he doesn't use his jar jar voice, ever.

I can see people beleiving in this, I mean, people beleive in Gaianism, others in a pantheon of gods, others in spirits of nature, all it takes is some influence and direction and people will follow. I myself follow Christianity, but that's another story.

you know a sci-fi series has gone too far when it becomes a religion (scientology anyone?)

Scary isn't it? I have a website somewhere for this stupid fool who is encouraging people to be Jedi. I spammed it up:rofl:. They even have a Jedi Code.
