ok you make a box on your white screem then on the left side theres a bar put it to the top tell you cant see it ok then theres a square under he x on texture click on that then go to testures go to assault then press shift enter poingt at the walls i will tell you later click on 1 of the textures then you right click on you view screen on your rite and move into the box then press right click the press info player start then on the left bar theres a box move it to the middle {30} then move it in the box in your white screen then you right click then light then you move it to the top so you can still see it on your bar then you go up to bsp then you go to bsp vis fast light then save it to some thing like test then you go on your wolf and type in consol /sv_pure 0 then /map test{what you save it as the name of the map will be there you gota simple map but i have to go my sis whats me to stop

Just in case you didnt find this in what you read, to insert models (A table for example) right click, then misc model a window should pop up pick one and insert it into your map make sure its level with the ground. (the bar at the far left: It should be on 0 or what ever number the surface is your putting it on.) Next you must draw a texture covering the model, the texture is found under common and you should pick either weapons clip or player clip. Now draw it so it covers the whole model. When you hit escape it should disappear.

- Drawing the texture around your model makes it solid in the game. Witout it it wont be solid.

ps: Dont use the gtkradiant to compile and test your maps, download q2map Im sorry I dont know where to download it myself as Im also looking for it. Well hope I helped!

you can turn on the display for clip in the view/filter option in GTKRadiant, or Alt+7 so they won't dissapear.

For q3map2 you can get it here. version to this date is 2.3.32 http://www.shaderlab.com/q3map2/2.3/

If you have any questions about using it post or go over to surface so I don't have to type it all in again. http://www.wolfensteinx.com/surface/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=6

I would use this to compile with as all the q3map2 options are there. http://www.shadowspawn.net/beta/content/mapping_files/Q3map2Build.zip

I noticed another post about pakscape. Its old and won't work with some of the pk3's in RTCW use this instead.

http://drgsoft.free.fr/index.php?page=dup5&language=en its called dragon unpacker. In version 5 once you extract textures into a folder or anything it will want to keep looking for this folder. So, I am not sure if its a bug or I just am missing an option. Just to let you know.
