Where would one go to look for Narf pratice so that one would be able to know what you want to do and thus help you.

When posting one must include all possible information. Do, not ever assume that people will know what your refering to. Include as much information as possible. I do not play games but my kids do. I do however map and may be able to help if given enough information.

The map was made by SCDS, a very good mapper. Looking at the map, the terrain was created with Gensuf which is a GTKRadiant 1.2.10 plug in. you can find the how to in the team arena manuel also included with GTKRadiant. The terrain was imported as a height map made with a paint program. paint shop pro or photo shop. there are no custom textures, so that everything to make this type of terrain is in GTKRadaint already. The how to is already included in the help section.

Terrain also may be created with easygen. this will make the metashader for you. The easy to follow tutorial and tools needed can be found here. http://www.planetpointy.com/wolf/mapping/tutorials/easygen1.shtml

SCDS post on planetwolfenstine and here http://www.rtcw.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=11

fun mapping.

I talked to SCDS after I post. and He said if you have his other map installed ( Murder Hill) Then That will fix the sky for Narf Pratice: He did confirm that His terrain was made with Gensurf a plug in For GTKRadaint. This is what He Said.

"Yup they sky is that way because I fucked up when I ripped that part out of murderhill. If you have mp_murderhill installed, you should see a sky. Since It's just a practice map, I didn't bother to do another release. The terrain is indeed gensurf."

you can go here and find some of my tutorials, but there a little advanced. There should be a link on the page uptop with more links to sites and tutorials as this mapping site does not have that for some reason.

http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~surface/ib/ikonboard.cgi?s=3d359c6d6a5dffff;act=ST;f=4;t=63

This is a page That has EyeRoniK's Tutorials.

http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/surface/tutorials.html

before following his tutorials please update to GTKRadaint 1.2.10 or some of them will not work because of the Light 1 crash.

hope this helped.
