i cant find 1 place to get a script_mover just to drive in circuls because i made a harry poter train and i want to make it go like the train in kung fu grip and am trying to make a brush that spins soo fast that the texture is blurry because i wanna make a beyblade and make it jump ramps and and jump onto conter and stuff...
my next map will be my house this will cost 100$ for the film!!! please help me! that means PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol if i wasnt busy with me own map id say ur in luck, but ill say ur in luck anyway. Heres the catch, I could make you script_mover but heck im to busy at the moment. So the next best thing is to learn how I learnt.
That means READING! Head over to the following link.
There is 2 script_mover tutorials there. Best to start with the 1st one me thinks.
There is/was also one over at
Mainly for a lift, but if u got the know how u could convert it to how u want it. Id check out the Nibs tutorials 1st though.
Good Luck!
no i tried that i need a tutorial that has a brush moving around like in a circul when you jump into the trigger multiple and 1 thing is it possible to do that beyblade thing?
am 9 but i can map i can do lots of stuff i can even texture
Well as far as ur age is concerned I think your doing right to start young, who knows maybe you will be a pro when ur older?
Anyway back onto the subject, If you can do the tutorials at Nibsworld then im sure u can make it so yor script_mover moves in a circle. Its easy enough, you just need to add as many path_corner's as you need and same goes for your goto points in your script File.
I dont know of any tutorial that shows a script_mover going in a circle. It is possible to do it though. I cant make you a tutorial for it im afraid, im to busy at the moment. Maybe Nib will, or another mapper, just send them a friendly email, but like I said if u can do the tutorials on nibs page then you can convert it easy enough to how u want.
As for that beyblade thing, thats probably possible, most prob yet again be another script_mover with alot of path_corner's. The blurry texture may be hard unless ur a dab hand at shadering aswell?
If I was you id seek out help at Tramdesign. Lots of helpfull people there, not that there aint here mind u, just seems to be a bit more active ;)
thanx but is the do i have to make a ai. because in the nibs tutorials theirs isnt but do you have to change the script? and the beyblade i mean if you make it spin so fast that it will have like circuls like a byblade looks like when it spins :) thanx for all the help so far :)
ai, why would you want a ai? If im not mistaken ai is for sp maps, like making the enemy characters move and stuff.
Just use the 1st script_mover tutorial on Nibs site, but add as many path_corners as you need to position them in a cicrcle, you will how ever need to alter the script accordingly.
As for the byblade yea it may work if u aded a brush on the outside of the blade with some kind of blurry texture effect. Maybe the beam texture in the sfx folder would work? Im not even sure what a byblade is lol. Think its like somet out of Ut or Quake like one of those spinning discs that fire out of a gun and bounce of walls lol.
But I get what ya mean. It most probably would work, wont be easy though lol.
a beyblade is a spinning top but i mean like make it spin so fast and move around at the same time and 1 thing i want to start with a script mover that you move to a place the it will start moving like you step on the electric motor and the beyblade lauches and spins around hits ramps, etc and do you now how to make jump pads?i made a harry poter train and a jet and am making a skate borde :)
do you have msn this will be alot faster :)
goto http://planetwolfenstein.com/bubbawolf for a tutorial on how to make jump pads. I get what ya mean now by a byblade.
Yes you could make the byblade do that also. You can have it so its triggered by a trigger_multiple and when the player touches the trigger_multiple it will start the byblade of.
I do got msn but aint got time, I got things to do. Im sure you are capable of doing it. If you can do the 1st script_mover tutorial on Nibsworld then you can do what you want on here. You will just need to alter the script a bit and position the path_corners as needed. The only hard part would be making it spin round and move at the same time. But thats where animated textures come in. you could use one of thse to give it the spinning effect.
I dont know that much about scripting, script_movers or shaders myself, not long since got back into mapping so things are gradually coming backto me, now im trying to learn more.
Head to the tramdesign forums and post there. trust me there is alot more people there with alot more knoweledge.
k 1 thing there isnt anny mappind subjects their if there is link them to me and do you now where their is a tutorial for the trigger_multipple thing?
