I like the Original Trilogy more than the prequels, simply cause they feel (to me) less like Lucas screwing things up - c'mon seriously, Jar-Jar... WHY?

The prequels were good, but EP1 screwed the story set up by Lucas the first time round.

Some of the additions to the Original Trilogy in the Special Editions were a bit lame - the new intro to Mos Eisley - The re-done Sarlaac pit (that beak looked stupid) are just a couple of examples that come to mind.

The first DVD releases of the OT were screwed for Empire and Jedi - Temeura Morrison as Boba's voice just didn't sit right + Hayden as Anakin at the end of Jedi? WHY?

Good thing bout the upcoming releases is that the OT will be viewable in un-altered format - like the Digitally Remastered versions from '95.

I like Temeura as Boba's voice because it fits the canon storyline. With Boba being a clone of Jango. I liked how they replaced McDiarmid(spelling?) with that evil crow looking lady in I think it was Emipre.

Mcdiarmid was the replacement for a different actor used for the role of the Emperor in Empire. He was put in for the purpose of continuity after Jedi had come out for the Special Editions - aswell as re-recorded lines for Vader.

20 odd years of no Jango would have made Boba sound different. Spend enough time around people of other nationality and your speech patterns change - a guy I went to school with spent 4 yrs in Australia, he came back sounding Australian, a couple of years later, he sounded Aberdonian again. Speech patterns aren't governed by "cannonicity", they are based upon those of the people you spend the most time with. It's a simple human integration mechanism.

(I have a bad habit of doing longish posts dont I?)

Yes, but not the upcoming versions. That "queue" site just shows indivivual DVDs, not a boxset.

Indivivual? wtf? meant individual

Waste of money if you ask me, I already have the films Im not gonna fork out more money for extras. Who would go and buy them again for an extra shot of luke hitting a tree with the metal pole that became his lightsaber for example, or the Yoda puppet not moving its mouth when it should. Big deal. The film is more important.

not moving it's mouth?!?!? ... no offense man, but have you ever watched the original version ... i find frank oz work outstanding for empire ... given the time they were made at ... and about SE ... i think most starwars fans aren't actually fraking out beacuse luke's landglider has been improved ... but for reasons like ... greedo shooting first, voice-changes, hayden's rotj appearence ... it's the small stuff none actually wanted to see ... i don't care abou echo base, mos eisley, bespin being all remade in cgi ... because it just enchances the view instead of changing spoken words and people, ... some fans know better than the birthday of their parents! i also fail to realize the logic in making '97 a special edition and then redoing everything 2005 ... GL certainly has some serious issues ... i don't bother buying the OT ... but the only thing comlainable about the hole thing is that they are realeasing it only with the SE from '05 together ... and i really don't want the SE a 3rd time ... cause i have the '97 VHS, the '05 DVD and now another one ... just money making to me :uhm:
