I try to play maps online, but it says it can't find the map, ones like Ice. Anyway, when I download maps, after the download is completed I only get an error message saying that some file doesn't exist in temporary internet files. What do I do? Is there a program that can directly put maps into use for RtCW? If so, please tell me where to find it, or better yet, a link.

That doesn't exist. I went to look for the maps in the main, but there was nothing under there called "folder". So where would the maps be then? I know I downloaded them correctly, but they just don't go into Wolfenstein, they get lost or something. Maybe they can't find the game. I remember seeing a download that automatically puts downloaded maps into the Wolfenstein folders, but I can't find it.

Where are you downloading them to. I just them on desktop and move them to my main folder. Do a search for the map file and find where its at on your computer.

I save them then download them to my own folder. The problem is that they don't unzip. I have Winzip 8.0. Does anyone know of that program that unzips maps straight into the RtCW folder?

you don't need the program that puts them into your main. just drage em there yourself. Thats a strange problem. I have had some bad zip files but downloading again fixes the problem. I find it hard to believe there all like that unless something is really messed up with your windows or winzip program. some maps are not ziped but just in the pk3 format. thats what you want. I am starting to suspect you don't understand windows and don't have alot of computer knowledge or else you would not need a program to put them in wolf. This is a mapping forum for people who have advanced computer knowledge. you probley need to ask mom or dad to help you or read a book on your operating system. Like I said, I find it hard to beleive that every .zip file you download won't unzip. So a program to install them for you is not going to make a hill of beans if the .zip file is corrupt. You should know this, unless your as I discribed above.

In that case, post on the gamming forum where the kids hang out or go play some X-Box.

fun mapping.

Here ya go, this is called winace. This wont put ur maps into the main folder of rtcw but at least it handles much formats besides .zip since ur winzip doesnt seem to do the job. After ur download is over, just open it and hit the extract button, then select the main folder as ur destination witch should be c:\Programs Files\Return to Castle Wolfenstein\Main

If that doesnt work, refer to previous post...
