I just reformatted my computer and forgot to save my .pcx files. The map I am currently working on needs them in order to compile. I was wondering if there is anyway to recover the .pcx files from .bsp files or if there is a way to to replace it with a new one. Thnx for your time.

The .pcx file or Alphamap is used by the metashader to read the pixel information for your terrain and the position its in. So, no. without it then the terrain originaly used is no longer valid.

you can retexture and create a metashader such as you would for gensurf and it would work. the information to do this is in the Team Areana manual that came with GTKRadiant.
