Hello,

I'm a employe of youplaygames.com and I'm looking for a detailed description of all the features in the OSP mod for RTCW, so I can implement it in our system as a new feature that would make it possible for us to host OSP moded games on our servers.. All I need to know is what all the features (like "What is "Stopwatch mode" what does it do ?" ect.) are in OSP for RTCW, I've seen the Readme files but they only give a brief description of what the Mod does and has. Also nice descriptions of all the server commands and what they do too.

We'll be at the QuakeCon this year (August) and would like to have the OSP mod running there to so it would make the gameplay even better.

If one of you guy's have the detail for me I'd love to read all that here in the forums or you can mail it to me to..

Thanks already for reading this topic, I hope to get answers soon..

Goto the official OSP-website, they also have a forum. Maybe you find some hints there.

Additionally you can visit sites like Planet Wolfenstein, HighBoy's Home or RtCW 4 Dummies. Goto to the "Server Guide" section. These sites are describing server setup for RtCW (not only OSP). But since OSP introduces only some additional commands (which are described inside the several readme files for OSP), you should be able to adapt from pure RtCW to OSP easily.

You should also take a look into the manual that is installed on your harddisc together with RtCW, the gamemodes and (basic) server setup are described there.

The multiplayer component of Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a team-based game that pits an Axis team against an Allied team in one of three gameplay modes: Objective, Stopwatch, or Checkpoint. Not all of the play modes are available on all of the maps. You play as a member of the Axis or Allied team, as one of four classes.

Objective (wolf MP) is the default multiplayer mode. In this mode, the Axis and Allied teams will each have one or more objectives to accomplish within a time limit. The first team to accomplish all of its objectives wins.

Stopwatch (wolf SW) mode is similar to Objective mode but with a twist—after every round, the teams will switch sides and will have to beat the other team’s time from the previous round. Note: You cannot change teams in this game mode.

In Checkpoint (wolf CP) mode, the teams battle for control of checkpoint flags in several areas on a map. The first team to simultaneously control every checkpoint flag or the team that has the most flags when the time expires, wins.

Thanks,

I've been to there site and also posted this question there... I didn't get any answers there yet, but guess I'll have to wait a little ... also I'll send them a e-mail.. I'll check the other site's to. It's not the technical part wich is a problem cause I've got it running allright (Client side) About the server side we need to have all details about this mod so we can implement it in our systems, then also troubleshoot if problems might come up. Also for our costumer service we need to have all the details of this mod documented so they can deal with it. But thanks for your help and let me know if there is some document somewhere or if somebody ever wrote one about the details and differences.

Thanks for your reply,,
