Just been thinking why I was and wondered about you guys...I'm so nice.

So, what got you into Star Wars ,and if you can, why.

I had always loved star wars but when looking for cheats and hints on Battlefront and Jedi Academy wookieepedia came up and sadly enough I went from there.

For me Star Wars was something i knew about but didn't really care to go see. "Wait, that movie was made how long ago?" Nothing from that long ago could possibly be any good. Before that my expectations where skewed from seeing the original Battlestar galactica and star trek TOS. which i disliked and still dislike with a passion.

Then came along "The phantom menace".For all it's faults i went to see it twice in short succession and my interest in Star Wars has been around since then. I saw the original trilogy and the other two new movies. Then eventually started on books. Finished "the new jedi order" and working on "legacy of the force" at the moment. Also, i got a model jedi starfighter on my desk. :lookaround:

Me to. The Phantom Menace is what drew me in to this hell-hole.

My parents did. I cant ever remember a time in my life when Star Wars wasn't around. My parnts were huge fans when it originally came out, and it was one of the first movies I ever saw, along with dumbo, bambi, etc. My first pet's name was Leia, I inherited my step-dad's hand-me-down SW toys from the 70's and 80's (Which are still in the family possession) so thats all used to play with, and for the longest time as a child I thought the Force was real. Now, 22 years later, not much has changed. I still watch the SW movies religiously, I collect random SW toys like Revan, Malak, Bane, Leia in her salve outfit ;), and I know the Force is not real, however I still try to convince people to do stuff with a wave of my hand and still try to pick stuff up thats out of reach. So, for me, the questin is not "what got me into" it "what will get me out of".

I'm not heavily into Star Wars like some of you, but I got into it with the third movie. Saw the first two and was sort of impressed, but saw the third and really enjoyed it, and made me appreciate the first two even more. Then I saw the originals, and I enjoyed them as well. I would like to see them remake the originals with more up to date technology and maybe new actors. I know that is probably an unpopular idea but that is a personal opinion of mine.

Yeah, that is a pretty unpopular idea, becuase EVERYTIME Lucas rmaks Return of the Jedi theres a different damn ending. I'm waiting for the Final cut, where the line-up is: Yoda, Frank Oz (voice of Yoda), Vader, James Earl Jones (voice of Vader) Kid Anakin, Anakin Pre-Volcano, Anakin Quadroped, Anakin Old, Young Obi-Wan, Old Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon Jinn, and the lower half of Maul. Please, don't ever say you want the original trilogy remade. George Lucas has a brain full of crazy ending he's itching to use.

would be cool but if they fucked it up(which they most likely would) then the fans would kill him and even if it was a great success some long term fans would still hunt Lucas down

You could never replace Han Solo. There exists no actor alive today who could possibly mimick Harrison Ford' charisma, wit, and all around scoundrel attitude.

exactly and harrison Ford is well...old now It woudl kill the previous fame and glory if they were remade...no matter how cool it would be.
