He did defeat them both, just didn't kill them before Yoda arrived.

By the time that Yoda arrived, Skywalker and Kenobi were already down. Kenobi might have summoned the strength to get back up, but he would not have lasted long. Despite being Sith, Dooku did still fight honorably. I do not believe that he would have killed them, unless specifically ordered to do so. This is why neither Skywalker, nor Kenobi were not fatally injured, and could have easily survived until their soldiers tracked their homing signals. If you remember, Dooku was turning to leave when Yoda walked in. At the end, Dooku only threw that pillar down upon Anakin and Kenobi. He had no intentions of killing them, but only did this to distract Yoda. Afterwards, Dooku did not attack Yoda further. He simply jumped into his shuttle, and departed. In all things considered, Yoda was not the saviour of the day. He was simply the first to arrive at the scene.

Had anakin and obiwan been killed it would have been their own fault anyway. Thank you all for help. I appreciate it.
