I have a GeFroce 4 Ti4200 on a xp2000 amd useing XP pro, the game will play fine for hours then crashes when it wants to. i have downloaded new drivers for my card tryed the defult XP ones and the CD ones all with the same result. when it crashesh it freezes and i can still hear sound then after awhile it resets my computer. I seem ot have the same problem with america's amry but they only lats afew seconds of min before it crashes.

i read a post about there being problems with direct x 8.1 on amd system on games useing T&L.

little help wuth be welcome.

xp has been having A LOT of problems with geforce chipsets. I got rid of xp about 3 months ago - switched back to 2000 pro and haven't had a problem since. I would suggest you do the same, plus your computer will run SO MUCH FASTER!!! god, xp sucks :cya:

[COLOR=burlywood]Uh oooh. Go here and pray this doesn't apply to you. Also check the via forums for more info on the infinite loop and your problem, Snow. My computer does the same thing and I'm lucky enough to have the infinite loop, a variant of it anyway. =\

-edit- Apparently some people are having success in getting around the freezes by updating to Det. 40.xx and SP1 for XP. I'm gonna try that when I get home.[/COLOR]
