Hi Bu-Fu,

I am wondering what settings you play the game in? I am playing the game using 800x600 @ 85htz, when I exit out it resets the display back to my desktop settings of 1024X768 (still at 85htz). I know some ppl try to exit out quickly by just shutting the game down using the alt-F4 key combo or some other shortcut, however doing it like this will prevent the game form resetting your video display settings to the original. Other than that the only thing I can think of is a problem with your monitor maybe?

Have fun

My computer has just started doing this,My settings are the same as yours (1024x786) at 60 Mhz.This has just recently started after I installed the Desert Combat Mod and the new BF 1.2 patch.Has this just started happening to you since the 1.2 patch and do you play the DC mod?redeemer.gif

Hi Fisheye,

My settings all come back correctly, I have desert combat (not the second alpha, the first) and BF1942 1.2, I wonder if it could be the DC mod second alpha? Unlikely though. And oh yes Fisheye, you should really increase your refresh rate to above 60hrtz if your monitor will handle it, 60hrtz will cause eyestrain and headaches in most ppl, 75hrtz is a workakable minimum for most monitors, but 85hrtz at least is better.

I am also thinking that for bf1942 to reset your display as it exits it has to keep a record of the display settings somewhere, either as a memeory variable or in a file record, or it accesses the registry to see what the settings should be (not sure if that would work) so I had a look around for my desktop display settings in a file somewhere in the game directory and found some of them in the file "irunin.ini" so have a look in there and see what it says.

Good luck
