Ok, I"ve searched around but didn't see a problem like this address so I thought I'd post .

First off, My system:

AMD 2000+ SB Llive X-Gamer GF4 Ti 4200 64 Meg DDR 512 DDR 333 RAM MSI K7N2 Nforce board

The Problem:

I can load to the menu fine. Once I choose a game (multi or single..doesn't matter) it will load to the very first "in-game" screen.

Once I get there it hangs with blips of normal function. In other wods...

It will stay locked up for about 30 seconds then "blip" for one second where things work. It will do this over and over again until I hit escape and wait for the "blip" to register the keystroke and take me back to the main menu.

What I've tried:

All the sound fixes listed in this forum tried various video modes to no avail updated drivers for every piece of hardware in my system updated video refresh file to reflect "1" instead of "0"

Anyone have any ideas on what could be going wrong?

Hi mate,

I have seen similar problems before, It sounds like a software problem somewhere. Have you disabled all running programs apart from BF (anti-virus, IM {msn, yahoo, ICQ etc} firewall software, things like *****, realplayer - yo get the idea everything except essential services). If that works just turn things on one at a time until it playes up.

Let me know how you go
