whenever I try to play on a internet server it will connect to it and will start downlading the map, but will crash to the desktop after loading about half or three quarters of the map. Any ideas?

Its probably your computer.

It might help if you tell us something about it.

have you tried uninstlalling dc being sure to delete residual folders and then reinstalling dc. Are you using the incremental patches? if so instead use the larger full install patches

I have cleaned out and reinstalled both DC and BF 1942 and Road to Rome. Cleaned everything out and reinstalled. Still crashing back to desktop during map load. Where is a reliable place to download the DC?

So it's crashing as the map is loading? Have you downloaded any addon maps? If so maybe they didn't go into the correct folders. Had that happen a time or two. lol I download all my BF stuff from www.bf1942files.com Ive never had a prob other then my own mistakes.

P.S. Have you updated BF to the 1.4 patch?

Major, could he need more memory. His system my not be able to handle the DC, hi-poly vehicles.

Well could be, but I doubt it. I ran it on a PII450 with 192megs of PC100. Now I had to lower the graphics to the point of shear ugliness LOL, but it ran nonetheless.

Was having the same problem and tried everything. Finally I uninstalled again and found a stray BF 1942 file in my system registry that was corrupting my reinstall. Once I deleted that file, everything was fine. Hope that helps. Try RegCleaner or other similar software to clear registry after uninstall.
