Hi All - I am turning to you all because I can't fix this problem on my own. I have a 1 gig PIII, Win ME, 256 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 4, etc. and am having great difficulty with BF1942 since I installed the 1.4 patch.
I can open and load the game normally, connect to servers, etc., but the problem is that after loading a map and selecting my character type and spawn point, the game crashes to a blue screen of death and the PC locks up. The following error message usually appears:
VMCPD(01) = 0000061C ERROR: OD: 0028: C00582C8
ERROR: OE: 0028: C0014C8E
The PC locks up and I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to reboot the system. I have tried most of the suggestions included on these forums, including removing and reinstalling the games, but nothing is working.

you already said your OS Animal_Mother. i'm not to good with helping people but i'm trying anyway. try defraging and searching for spyware, may not seem like they have anything to do with your problem but it does not look like you have anything to lose considering your situation. what mods does it do that on? all? none?
I uninstalled all mods and currently have only BF 1942 and RTR on the system.

Have done a quick look around and found this for you.
Error Message "Exception Error 0D in module VMCPD(01) +0000061C at 0028:C0058358"
We currently do not have a solution to this problem.
VMCPD.VXD is the file containing the Virtual Math Co-Processor driver The error might be caused by Video Drives or Printer drivers In the past, VMCPD issues with Windows 95 were caused by incompatible Cyrix Math Coprocessors. The problem goes away if you disable sound acceleration used by DirectX. Upgrading to DirectX version 8 does not help. The problem goes away if you run WinAmp prior to running any applications like WinDVD (thanks Paul T.)
