Hi all

I'm a newb to BF1942 and I am trying to install mods from bf1942files.com . I have installed the v1.3 patch and that works, but the mods I have downloaded don't. I have fiddled with init.con but I don't really know what I'm doing and I haven't seen anything on any of the FAQs I've seen. Anyone help? Or flame me if this is an extremely dumb and obvious thing I really should already know;)

first get the patch 1.31 so yur sound dosent suck them most mods have a self installer so just click it 2 times than next till its done. some dont so the ones that are folders just cut or copy the folder and put it in c:\program files\ea game\battlefied 1942\mods\ folder than start it as normly and go to custum game than play

Some mods like Desert Combat and Soldier 9 have a proper install program that only requires you to designate your main BF42 directory.

Other mods like Happy already indicated :) are activated by putting them in the mods-directory in the main BF42-directory.

If you then go inside the game you can select custom game and you will see a list of the mods that are on your system.

Thanks, but the patches I got (Erich Hartman's AdCap carrier and visible bombs and a B-17 in single player patch) require unzipping into folders. Do they need to be unzipped into theexact folder specified? Or can I decide which folder I want to keep addons in?
