i was just wondering if my 16x speed cd-rom would cause a little bit of lagg compared to a 52x speed or a higher speed cd-rom..

would a 52x speed cd-rom help my gameplay performance or does it have nothing to do with that???

Well if you have not noticed, you can pull out your CD after the map has loaded, so I don't think a faster cd-rom would help.

How much money are you willing to spend? Cause if ya want a really good card I would say get the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.

From what i can tell the only bad thing about the 5800 is that the fan sounds like a leafblower in your computer. Heres a review of the 5800.
