Hi Sgt.Cloud,

You have not exactly been clear on your problem, but I'll have a go.

1) recommended min ran is 128Mb - so you only just scrape in there!

2) when you say 125Mb current/128Mb Max ram I can only assume that you have an onboard video card that uses system mem, is that correct? This is important, cause if it is the case forget running BF1942 with your current setup.

You need to find out some info on your system if you need help, we can't help you with the info you have supplied. We need to know - what graphics card - what the error message is.

Finally if you are running XP, despite the min required memory being 128, cause XP is so memory demanding I would recommend min of 256Mb if using XP.

Get back to us with required info ASAP

:cya: :cya: :cya:

Originally posted by apocalypse_kid Hi all, Probably don't need to look it up, from the info supplied earlier it's almost certainly an "Intel i740 integrated graphics controller". In which case, Sgt.Cloud, unless your Mobo has an AGP slot, you are well and truly out of the running, and yes, WindowsXP home will certainly run BF1942. The info about your vid card will be either printed in your motherboard manual or listed on the outside of the box the Mobo came in, it will say womething like "Stunning 3D graphics with the intel i740 graphics chip"  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Sgt.Cloud, but it gets worse. If your Mobo doesn't have a AGP port you are probably up for replacing it and getting a seperate vid card to play BF1942, and while your there you may as well get another few hundred megabytes ram, say 512 of DDR memory for the new Mobo, and maybe a faster CPU as well. If you need advice on what to buy come ask here first, never talk to the salesmen, they will sell you what they have in stock regardless of your needs. :cya: :cya: :cya:

uhh...okay..:uhm: :uhoh: :lookaround: :cya:

Hi Sgt.Cloud,

In what way can I help?

As far as I can see your computer is not capable of running BF1942. Open it up and see if it has an available AGP slot, if it has buy a new Vid card (GF4MX440 or Radeon 7500 Minimum specs) and at least another 128Mb memory. If it doesn't have an available AGP slot buy new motherboard, CPU, Vid card and memory.

There's really very little more than can be said.

Sorry for the bad news but that's all the help I can supply.

As I said, if you need advice on what to buy post it here, but there's no way you are going to get BF1942 running on your current setup.

In that case you may need to seek some experienced help from a experienced friend or whatever to get anywhere with BF1942.
