Hey, I hope i put this is the right forum. Anyways, I have a problem with desert combat only. The ground is flat brown and it appears the textures are just messed up. The screen where i pick a spawn point is blank except for the white spawn points. Battlefield runs just fine though. I updated all drivers. I have a the following specs: sony vaio grx 650 laptop pentium 1.8 512 ddr mobility radeon 7500 I downloaded the updated drivers from sony's website, apparently you cannot download catalyst drivers from ati cuz its not supported. I tried, it doesnt work. I have dx9, all ddrivers are updated. Desert combat has worked fine in the past, ive reformated and reinstalled, and it doesnt now. but keep in mind their has been several patch releases in the mean time, i dunno if its a problem related to a new patch. Im going nuts guys, hope someone can help.

Have You downloaded the patch again? Sometimes the download can be slighty corrupted during the download. Its happend to me before. I would also delete the DC folder in the mods folder. I guess this wasnt a problem if you reformatted. I would try downloading again and give that a shot.

Same thing happened to me and a friend. In my case installing latest drivers cured it. In his one of the graphics card settings needed a box tick to enable a setting. Could have been lightmaps, not quite sure. Have to warn you though that DC doesn`t like to run on laptops- least not smoothly. Don`t think the 7500 radeon is up to the job either but if u can prove me wrong on that then good lick!

Yes video drivers are usually the problem for messed up textures, try getting latest ones and much sure directx is all fine.
