My specs -
Pentium 4 2.00 GHZ
512 PC2100 DDR RAM
SILURO Geforce 4 TI4200 64 mb edition
DRIVERS: 40.72, I think
Asus P4B233 Motherboard
Just using Integrated Sound
Even on the lowest possible sound, BF1942 runs horribly.
I installed it in the following 2 orders:
BF1942 Patch 1.31 BF1942 RTR
Didnt work. Uninstall and reinstall..
BF1942 BF1942 RTR Patch 1.31
Ran bad still.
Can someone help?
I used to be able to run this game on pretty high settings in the demo and original BF, but now that Ive reformatted, I reinstalled and got RTR and it sucks.
I run it on the lowest settings, highest settings, whatever, it still runs horribly.
some people say u dont have to, and i know you shouldnt have to, but with my experience, you need 1.3, then 1.31. I know people will post and say no u dont, but its worked for some. Since youve reformatted, have you tried playing the game with out RTR? Also, which onboard sound do u have. Are you using hardware acceleration?
It should run on your setup without reducing detail much, it runs fine on mine, Athlon 2200+ 1Gb DDR, GF4 MX440. I suggest going into vid card settings and disabling AA (Anti-Aliasing) and AF (Anisotropic Filtering) and see if that helps.
:cya: :cya: :cya:
i get popping sounds on my game
There are a couple of things that can help with the choppy game issue. Make sure that you have the newest version of the drivers installed for your hardware. Even though you formatted and reinstalled, I would still do a defrag. Make sure that the hardware acceleration is on for both the video and audio cards. I have a "weaker" system and it runs very well. My specs are AMD Athlon 1.1G, Nvidia Ti 4200 128Mb,Sb16,512 PC133 Ram. Side note: I would be sure that you have all the drivers installed for your motherboard.
hey wait , wat direct x version u using ???
About the directX question, Who were you asking????
OniKun try going to options in battlefield and "Disable all sounds" and see if that helps, there is an issue with the sound in this game and bad graphical performance because of it.
J-MAD-INC have you tried Hardware acceleration in battlefield 1942 advanced sound options? I had the same problem you had, but after I turned Hardware acceleration on, I didn't have a problem with my sound anymore.
[B]Who else  [SIZE=3]Onicon ofcourse hehe :)
