Oh yes, anisotropic filtering, I think that also depend on your vid card. On my GeForce you can turn AF on in your display settings. I have had no experience with ATI cards so I can't help you there.

I have the same video card as you, right click on desktop, click properties, settings tab, then advanced. in the direct 3d and opengl tabs you can control AF. Hope that helped:cya:

Enabling AF (anisotropic filtering) in the control tabs doesn't work for the 8500 with this game, I've tried, until now I didn't know what the problem was.

What the first poster is saying is that because of the way the 8500 performs AF it can only be used together with bilinear filtering. Apparently this game automatically uses trilinear filtering (a step up from bilinear filtering). So when you try to force AF with this game the 8500 see's that the game is using trilinear filtering and cannot force AF. Therefore to get AF to work in this game with 8500 we need to find a way to disable trilinear filtering.

I'd imagine that there must be a config file that would allow trilinear to be disabled, but I can't find it.
