I found that bein a good chopper pilot in DC requires the right joystick, I use to fly with a plain old Sidewinder and got pretty good at it. Now I have a Digital Wingman Extreme with twist grip and am pretty deadly with the chopper, another thing is practice, practice, practice. Try different maneuvers, hovering, circling around a target, just dont sit still because that makes you an easy target for a tank to blow you out of the sky. If you look around I think someone did a Chopper Pilot guide for DC, I'm not sure though. As for your problem of flipping the chopper in your turn, its because your trying to fly it like a jet. If you use your rudder controls and slightly bank it, you might have better success. I see alot of people turning and then over correcting which throws them into a spin, which obviously leads to a crash. Check for that guide and it should help you a bit, but practice and you will eventually get better. The advice i can give you though is make sure you have a joystick with a twistgrip and your game will improve a tremendous amount.

Or a rudder control as part of your sep throttle i find if i use the twist grip i end up having slight rudder movements while using the joystick.

I know theres a couple of pilot guides out there, I'm just not sure if there was one made for the chopper. I'm pretty sure I came across one but I just might be retarded and wished for one so badly when I first started flying it. I'll check into in and post the link if i find it.

erm hang on, you need x and y for forward/back/roll left/ right, R axis is throttle, most semi old joysticks have these, BUT you need a z axis which can be a twist function of the joystick grip or part of a sep throttle or foot rudders. But if you dont have a Z axis then i'd say your only way of having joystick still control rudder would be to assign 2 buttons to left and right rudder (or what ever helos call them)
