Is it possible to fly with a joystick? I have a MS sidewinder (force feedback but that won't work I guess).

I tried to configure the game with teh joystick but it won't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Anyway if it's not possible to fly with a joystick what is a good key combination to keep flying... I keep crashing with everything I tried. I mean it can't be that hard to fly, now can it?

Tons of people fly with the joystick, I would've thought you could just set it up in the controls section, you'd have to map most every key yourself but it'd work. That's what I did with my Logitech gamepad and I don't see why it'd be any different with a joystick. I'm sure some of the others around here can tell you a lot more about the process specifically for joysticks.

A simple but perhaps overlooked thing: If you still can't make it work and have XP, you should know that XP reguires 32-bit HW. Have you checked that the joystick appears in Control Panel/Game Controlers ? If so, it shouldn't be any problem to get it to work in BF1942... Regards/Cub
