I'm having a problem when I try to host a game, people can see my game listed, but can't connect. I am running thru a router and even if I dissable my firewall, it still wont work. Any suggestions would be most exelent. :rock:

you have to enable DMZ and virtual server if your router has those options...definately DMZ...then it should work and open port 14567 and set your comp thats the server as the comp that bypasses the firewall...then use the wan IP it gives you..and again depending on your router type...hope this helped

Thanx GreenBud.

I get the DMZ part, but a little clarification... Is port 14567 a TCP or UDP port? And where do I find my WAN IP and if I do find out what it is, how do I use it? Sorry... all this networking stuff is all very new to me and well I AM Forrest Gump and all... :p

If people are able to view the server then dmz or ports probably arent the problem. Besides your normal firewall, if your using xp make sure its built in firewall is disabled as well. Make sure you dont have any other apps running that could interfere also.
