It just isn't the same Hacko. I just had some now, and without breading and the proper tartar sauce it is just a shallow meal.

Or you could make your own filet-o-fish
Yield: 2 Sandwiches
- 2 tb Mayonnaise
- 2 ts Sweet relish
- 2 ts Minced onion pn Salt
- 2 Plain hamburger buns
- 2 Mrs. Paul's breaded- Fish portions (square)
- 1 sl American cheese
1. In a small bowl mix together the mayonnaise relish minced onion and salt and set aside. This is your tartar sauce. 2. Lightly grill the faces of the buns. 3. Cook the fish according to the package instructions. You can bake the fish but your sandwich will taste much more like the original if you fry it in oil. 4. Divide the tartar sauce and spread it evenly on each of the top buns. 5. Slice the cheese in half and place a piece on each of the bottom buns. 6. Place the cooked fish on top of the sheese slice on each sandwich and topp off the sandwiches with the top buns. 7. Microwave each sandwich on high for 10 seconds. The Filet-O-Fish was introduce to Mcdonald's in the year 1963. It was the first new menu addition since the restaurant chain opened in 1948.
Thanks muchly BITE_ME!!. That is a wonderful view of my beloved sandwich. There sure are a million ingredients in it; but boy do they use them just right.
I would die without GF

Have a good one people...in fact, have an egg fight! :-D
Happy Easter all. It's nice just to have a couple of days off work. Hang on Rose wants me to WORK in the bathroom. :( No rest for the wicked.:bawl:
Yup Husband = slave....but at least the fringe benefits are REAL nice!!:kiss1:
Hfx_Rebelwhat kind of break? you mean like holidays? how about 'good friday' and easter monday'? both holidays here...stat if your government...:D
Nope... No such work holidays in the US. Kindof stupid. I always forget to ask for Good Friday off because I just assume that it is a holiday. It's gotten me for the last few years like that. It should be a day off....
Yep, here I am, slaving away for the US government on Good Friday. It means the traffic is lighter though and the parking was easier. The more I think about it, this is quite funny. It seems like many other countries of the world consider the US filled with a bunch of religious nuts, but according to this thread Canada and the UK give Good Friday off and the US does not. @Crabs - I suspest Jesus was supposed to have accomplished a bit more than fish sandwich propogation by his death. ;) And a crab eating other sealife! Isn't that cannibalism or something? BTW, I love them too! I didn't know they were selling doubles right now, I'm gonna have to go check that out! I especially love them with double the tarter sauce - my wife doesn't like it so much so when she gets one too I get both - yum!
Happy Easter to all. 10 days vacation for me
