Hey all, I have a joystick that i've configured perfectly (axis wise, it doesn't fly off to the left or right, or up and down or anything like that) except that I find it's not sensitive enough. I have to pull hard and long up or down to do a turn/dip. I can't even dive bomb

If there is anything out there or a setting i can config i'd greatly appreciate any help you guys can give me!

 thanks

Have you calibrated it in windows? My friend claims I turn sharper than him with my stick, but all the axes should reach the same levels no matter which stick you use. Sensitivity is the only issue between different models but they should all turn relatively the same. If that doesnt work you could search for some different drivers for your particular stick. What model is it?

Sadly, It's a two-axis joystick..

:uhoh: Zellers strikes another blow to my flying ego.

Well, I think I'm going to get a new stick, as this one was kind of low-class. It only has like 2 buttons. lol. Thanks for the help guys. If anyone has any reccomendations on what to buy, that'd be nice, but as of now i'm thinking sidewinder...

yes i have a microsoft force feedback 2 sidewinder - even though force feedback isnt supported by bf1942 it is still one of the best joysticks out today and i love it - if you are going to get a joystick only for bf then get one without force feedback - but if you are planning to "do it right" then go ahead and get it - it's around $99 in the usa

the regular sidewinder 2 joystick with out force feedback is aroud $40. I only use the joystick for BF1942 so i dont need to pay for the force feedback.

These are my favorites.

Cyborg_3D_Gold.jpg The cyborg gold runs anywhere from 20 to 40 bucks, handles great, tons of controls and options, and can be set up for right or left hand users.

freedom24_001_s.gif This is my favorite. Logitech freedom 2.4ghz cordless. Runs about 60 to 80 bucks, has great features, and handles like a dream. Been using it for almost a year flawlessly and have only changed batteries once. Takes 3AA. :) Right hand user only.
