Is there anyway to configure a joystick so that you can use it to drive and operate tanks?

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2. I have not been able to configure so that I can control the pitch up, down and rotation. I works fine flying but will not work anywhere else. Anybody know if and or how to do this????

Hi Shine,

I don't know if you can, but why use a joystick in a tank anyway? I think the keyboard and mouse is much better than a joystick could ever be for a tank. Use the joystick for what it is designed for, flight.
