Hi I just got bf1942 yesterday and I have always wanted to play this game, but it appears that when I press a key (only some keys ie shift) and move my mouse I lag. I did make sure that none of the keys were intefering with another command. I can play CS and SOF II with no probs. Here is my specs:

Processor: AMD 2400+ (2.0 Ghz) MotherBoard: Leadtek K7NCR18D-Pro Video Card: ATI Radeon 9600 128 MBs DDR Ram Ram: 512 MBs DDR Ram 2700 Keyboard: Dell Quietkey

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Hey I appreicate the helpful clues, but so far Ive only been playing singleplayer and I figured a way to temporarily stop the laggin while the button is being held but when you release the button and try holding it again, it lags again. For example, default key to move forward I use w when holding w down and moving mouse from side to side I get a jerking motion like lag. But if I press the space bar once at the same time while holding w this will go away. If no key is pressed on the keyboard and I move the mouse side to side I do not lag as well. Once again any help would be much appreciated.

Also here is my software specs:

Operating System: Windows XP Dirctx Version: 9.0a

Oh yeah Im using an optical mouse.

do you get lag in any other game or is it just in battlefield? when typing in a word proccesing package does the words appear after you have typed? is you mouse cordless if so try moving the reciever unit away from the monitor or computer as you might be getting interference. aso try using a standard mouse and see if you get the same results.

let me know how you get on.

Wow thanks guys for trying to help. The mouse isnt cordless nor is the keyboard. I hate cordless with very much passion. Also I have not had this problem with any other game as of yet. I will try usin a standard mouse tonight when I get back home and see what happens, wish for the best :)

That's a big step just to fix some lag problem, I was thinking maybe it was the keyboard software that comes with those DELL keyboard. To late not though.
