hey im new here and im new to modding can you guys help me out a little bit please. ok i downloaded all the stuff i need. i extracted all the objects to a seperate file. then i opened the B-17 file with word pad and changed a few things. so my questions are:

1. did i do it the correct way so the changes are more than just text 2. if i did it correct how do i get the files to work in game.

thanks alot guys

first off you cant just extract the rfa file into any folder, it has to be your base Battlefield 1942 folder. 2nd in order for the game to read the extracted folder, you have to rename the rfa file to something else. I recomend lets say objects.rfa rename to objects.old

Finally yes you can just mess with the .con files and the will work just like that..but you have to do the above steps first. Change like tha ammo amount first(or something that you can definately know youve changed) then start up game as you would normally.

Lastly you can play mp with youre .rfa named as old if changes have been made...make sure you rename it back to .rfa

I hoped this helped
