Install another OS on the same hard drive as XP(if thats what os you are running) so you have a dual boot system(you will need to create a partition) then install the game on that partition. I know its a f**k about but if you tried everything else, itll take about an hour and if it doesnt work youve lost nothing. I did it with windows 2000 pro and it works fine.I reinstalled all my bits and peices under both systems and run games on 2000 (uses less RAM) and normal day to day crap on xp. (Very extreme way to do it i know ill get stick but it worked for me and works very well still)

How about some details to what your setup is like then we can figure out the problem. Oh things like; OS, CPU (type and speed), RAM amount, video card, software running in the background.

Well if you already have one topic on the problem, why make another?

As for the problem, let's start over here; What do you mean it won't load? Does the splash screen come up at all? Does it crash at some point with an error message during the start up? Yes that other topic does inslude your system specs, but what about background programs? Try disabling/turning off any anti-virus auto-protect that is running.

You're running XP, well then head over to to here http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm maybe there are some services you can turn off that will speed things up for the loading and yet will let you run as your daily system. If this is you gaming box, then following the suggestions in the Gaming column will really help.

What I think Undiesrules is talking about is installing say maybe Win98 or Win2k on a partition and letting run the game. You can also try the 'run as' feature (I forget what it's called and don't feel like looking it up) in XP that when a program runs XP tells it it's another version of Windows, but I think this is mainly used for older programs & games that pre-date XP.
