ok, found some Inns which look good, Most have very reasonable prices:

I am presuming a little here preacher, but for us all to meet up I think booking an overnight room in one of these inns is the only way we can really do this, due to the distance needed to travel.. most of the above Inns are about 1-2 hours out of London, and 2-3 hours from the guys up north.

If you feel you don't want to do an overnight thing, just say so, I'll understand :) But TBH, I'm quite looking forward to it for several reasons: 1) meet you and your Wife ? 2) meet Russ, Karen, bong, skins ect 3) spend a night in an ol'worldie English Inn 4) getting slightly inebriated on some English Ale

Let me know if your up for it, and we can move forward, ie actual dates, reservations ect.

@ Hew - I understand where you are going with meeting up - and staying in an old Inn at least one night we are there fantastic great either way. I will speak with the missus tonight and will try to figure something out ASAP. Wow, that first one, the Boot and Shoe, looks exactly like what I am thinking of at the moment - country Inn and near some other outdoor sights, like the castles, that we could see the next day. So I will tentatively suggest maybe Friday or Saturday night - meeting up in the early evening for dinner, and then Carol and I could take the next day to see the sights around there before going back to London the next evening. The complicating factor in all of this is that I don't really want to move all of our stuff out of the London hotel just for a day and deal with all that (since my wife is working there is more to deal with than just a week's worth of casual clothes) - so we will probably be paying for a room both places that night. Not a big deal since her work will be helping with the cost the time we are there, but you get the idea.
