ATI released the new Catalyst 4.3 driver that finally fixes the graphic problems that alot of people have had with Radeon 9000 series vid cards.I installed it and it works great. http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

I don't see any difference with the new ATI drivers.

What exactly is the corruption that is happening? Ati's website doesn't make it very clear which set of drivers you need for a radeon XT model. does anyone with an XT know which ones worked.. ??

I believe they are talking about the tearing that was occuring. Seams and breaks in the planes of a texture.

This is interesting, I am always hearing about updating drivers, updating drivers, I have a ATI 9500 pro, (2.4 ghz P4 processer, 1 gig ram, onboard yamaha sound, ) play smooth as silk always, high frame rates, max graphics aa af full bore, max sound(as far as onboard can be maxed-gamespybrowser max) and I have never, ever updated a driver for anything, in the 18 + months of playing bf 1942. Lucky video card? Of course maybey partially because I always play in (xp) diagnostic mode (all progs stopped-unchecked-)to take the load off the cpu-no load except for the game on the cpu...hmmm dunno...
