All seemed to have loaded fine, had to also load the DirectX which came with the disks.

When i double click on my new desktop icon, the game goes to load, then goes tr8 back to windows. No error or anything?

Im on a P3 - 528RAM - 800MHZ - NVidiaRIVA TNT32? Card

Help please.. Dying to play!!

hi Skylark,

Yes, this is your problem: Nvidia RIVA TNT32

The TNT and TNT2 chipset is not supported by the game. To play the game you will have to upgade your video card to at least a Geforce or ATI 7500 or faster, and the faster the better. Otherwise you have plenty of mem and your CPU is fast enough - barely.

have fun

Hi Skylark,

as C0CKER says it depends on how much money you have. For a start it doesn't matter how tight money is, I wouldn't go for anything les than a GF4 MX440 or Radeon 8500, consider that a basic starting point. DOn't bother going for big name brands, the extra $25 will only get you another 5% performance over a similar specced cheapy.

If you have plenty of money you should of course go for the GF4 4600Ti or Radeon 9700, the Radeon 9700, however, is the better performing Vid card. Also the radeon is DirectX9 compatible while the GF4 isn't so it will last longer in theory.

Hope that helps as a basic guide.

BTW, I use a GF4 MX440, will probably upgrade to a new one next year when the price of other cards drops after the release of the Nvidia FX.

Have fun

Oh and thanks for your help so far..

I did actually get the game to load by downloading a newer driver from NVidia.. Its still super slow though, and have had to reduce the quality right down which pretty much spoils the whole effect!:D
