Of course you can... make sure you have something other than a stock cpu fan such as a Thermaltake Volcano.
I really don't feel like explaining myself at the moment... lol (I'm very tired) but here's a few tutorials.
http://www.amdworld.co.uk/oc1.htm http://www.compunamics.com/overclocking.htm http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20000623/index.html
Just remember take it in steps... it's a timed process. And don't get scared if your computer won't boot, you'll just need to lower the fsb.
get really big fans it helps not wreck it i had one and literly burnd it up started smoking and everything scary
i am thinking about overclocking i have a p4 2.4 how much more can i overclock i have a msi 645e max board

Depends on what kind of cooling you have...
It also depends on how much memory and what kind of memory you have.
Usually with a very nice fan such as a Thermaltake you could overclock your 2.4 to maybe 2.6 (This being stable)
Watercooling: Up to 3.0
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe AMD Athlon XP 2100+ 1.73ghz
how fast can i get it going using a thermaltake? i dont got the money for watercooling though i love the idea :)
I have the same processor and I hit a stable 1.96
what did u change on it? tell me specifically please and wht cooling fan u run.
