I recently upgraded to a new motherboard with an Nforce2 ultra chip set. And now for some reason I can't get BF 1942 to work unless I reinstall and don't apply any patches including installing Road to Rome. I have downloaded the 1.4 patch and tried it but that doesn't seem to work either. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi ballnchain,

When you installed the new Mobo (did it yourself?) did you install all the motherboard drivers that came with it? There may be some special AGP drivers or something that are causing problems by being absent. Also check for new BIOS updates for you Mobo and do al the usual updating of drivers etc if you haven't done so already. How is your mem configured, dual channel or not?

Without more info on your mobo and PC that's really all I can offer at the moment.

Good luck

Yeah I have all the updated drivers. Athlon 2500+, 1 gig of ram dual channel, GForce 4 TI 4200 with 128 megs ram. On a Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro MoBo. Any ideas?
