my question is this: why on earth does this game take forever to quit, when i push the "quit" button? what is taking so long to quit? what does have to "load" in order to quit? Just for compairsion, it's funny, i got at least a 100 games right now (more if i count the very old ones) and NONE of them takes any extra time to quit like this game does. Just pisses me off, that i push quit, then i have to wait for something to load, then i have to wait again for the resolution to change etc. etc. and i finally out of the game, but my desktop icons dissappeared and i have to wait for them to appear. I know, i'm crying like a little girl, but i just dont get it what has to load in order to quit.:uhm:

I dunno, I suppose its huge computer resource requierments take time to get out of the ram and CPU etc....

Anyway...deal with it, waiting an extra minute or 2 aint gonna kill ya.

Hi StormTrooper75,

It would help if we knew your computer specs, but my guess is that you only have 256 Mb Ram. Most of the slowdown is caused by the computer dumping the game out of memory and swapping the OS back in off the Hard Drive. Having an older slower HDD would also contribute to the slowdown.

Have fun

When I don't feel like playing BF anymore, I have to press esc, wait 30 secs for the menu screen to show up, then press quit, wait another 30 secs, then the screen goes black and i have to wait 30 secs more...etc.etc.

I just press alt+f4, hehe. Although it does take 30 secs for that damn music to stop playing and the screen to stop flickering. You'll save a minute by doing this.
