Hi StormTrooper75,

A common problem with uninstalling and reinstalling is this, ppl uninstall the game, but don't delete the game directory and any extra files , leaving any extra bodgy config files etc on the hard disk. They then reinstall in the same location and the bodgy config files etc are still there causing problems. If you uninstall make sure you either a) go in and delete the game directory or b) install to a different location.

Also try running ASE (All Seeing Eye) and see if that works for you (it uses different ports to gamespy) cause it could be that you ISP is blocking certain ports for some reason.

Get ASE here: ASE .

Let me know how you go.

I'm having the same problem, and it just came out of nowhere. I dont get it. I sure as hell hope I dont have to uninstall/install, I'll be pissed. I'll check and see if my ports are being blocked. Stormtrooper, what kind of connection do you have? I have one here on a college campus, and they have no problems blocking things like KaZaA and other programs from working. They are firewall bastards. Is that the case with you?

I also wondered if I was connected to the internet, and that's not the problem, though I remember the same thing happening to BF42 when i clicked on Internet game without a connection. Perhaps it IS a port problem. I'll be pissed though. My campus has no right to tell me how to spend my time, especially if I'm paying for this connection and paying to live here and all. They shut my connection off for two weeks once before, and Im still ticked. Let me know if All Seeing Eye works for you too, storm trooper

I had the same problem last night. The game could not connect to any servers and then went back to my desktop. Next, I tried to go to the gamespy website, and it was down. I think it was a gamespy problem. They suck. They suck real hard. It is a worthless "middleman" that cant do its job.

try all seeing eye, it fixed the problem for me, got my ingame server list back after booting up with ASE, dunno why...but it fixed something, seemed like ports were blocked, coincidentally i crashed to desktop playing coral sea before this happened.

Im sure there is a logical explanation for this:D
