Every time I join a sever or a hosted game I get kicked on average 1 to 10 times a game at random, every thing will be going just fine until all of a sudden I get allot of lag and "connection problems detected" pops up then I am kicked from the server. I can go right back in the game but it is a pain in the rear, I am the only one out of the group of friends (about 6 of us) this happens to.
I have Verizon DSL and a Linksys 4 plug router (only using 2 plugs)
My LAN games work great & I can host a normal game if I open some router ports and the DMZ but can’t run a dedicated sever (don't know why, you can see the game but it wont let anyone in), but no matter what ports I open before I join a sever or hosted game I still get kicked at random.
Any help would be great (router settings ect)
I get that sometimes lately myself. It is quite annoying huh. Not sure what causes it, but it's only been happening since installing 1.4.
Don't quote me on this, but as far as the Dedicated Server prob? Could be that Verizon don't allow you to host one. It's a Bandwidth thingy. My ISP does that same crap. You might want to check into that.
yes,i get the same thing.i believe it to be a problem with the V1.4 dedicated server thingy.not much you can do about it but reconnect.
You probably got kicked for lagging so much, and your connection problem wouldn't allow you to see it. About the lagging part, people say it's because the patch causes some lag into the game for some much gameplay, especially if you have DC installed.
Ok just last night I noticed a few things about this whole "Connection problem detected" thingy. It only happens when actually playing DC, but not on every server. Plus it happens when I have a ping of less the 100, so I'm thinking it's not a problem with my connection at all. I could see if I had a high ping, but less than 100 I'm not noticing any lag at all.
I played vanilla, RtR, Eod, DC & the Pirate Mod, but I was booted only when playing DC. Not once did I get the pop up while playin' anything but DC. HMMMMM :feedback:
