All systems say go - except when I try to log on to MULTIPLAYER Everything slows to an eratic, lagging, can't control attitude. Earthlink says I have solid connections, installed and reinstalled all BF games. Patch 1.4 works well (except everybody now has 1.45) so - installed WW. My firewall tried to block the connection because it picked up a different IP ? - could this be the problem. I've disabled all firewalls and virus software - reinstalled everything - but no luck. I can access all the games, but the lag makes it impossible to play - Any suggestions??

Thanks Major PITA - I have read, printed out and studied the thread. My situation falls under catagory A, - The exact same connection conditions. I know the problem can be solved (sooner or later) but I find it interesting that (A)- the problem didn't exist before installing the Secret Weapons pak - (B)- my Firewall blocked the initial log request - this block window could not be seen behind BF. This block attempt indicated a change from the original BF1942.exe to another website (?) - If I reinstall BF1942 up thru patch 1.4 - no problems. If someone could explain why the switch from one site to the other - or why the new patch switches my computers protocol - it might help solve the problem. Thanks
