Hey brother are you running BF on a Linux box? If so you think you might help me get it running? I'm workiing on getting my Linux box back up & would like to try BF on it. I was talking with a good friend that plays on a Linux box & he says he doesn't have near the problems people running it on Windoze do. Anyway. Any help would be greatly apppreciated.

Hey Pita. I'm sure I wont be of much help as its been many, many moons since I had BF up and running on my Debian box. But check out www.transgaming.com where they've developed their own port of Wine. At the time I installed it I believe it was WineX3 but I believe the newest version is 3.3 now?

Personally I didnt care much for it on Linux. I had a few texture problems and the game played kind of ...... well .... hinky at times? Theres probably been some improvements by now though? Good luck man.

I am running SUSE Linux on my router, but have just upgraded my game puter to a Athlon64 so I am getting SUSE 64bit for that, bit I am running BF on windows, and it rocks even on Windows with a Athlon64 3200.

@AK I see that you run SuSE but your avatar shows a Red Hat? I'm curious. SuSE's icon is Geeko the chameleon. I guess that Tux with the Red Hat looked better? I run SuSE on my machines and dual boot to Windows to play games. Oh well I have been up too long. I am thinking way too much :)
