Hey everyone. I just got my BF1942 working (FULLY), without any choppiness or audio problems. All i did was download the newest patch for my soundblaster audio, lower my audio to 22 hz,downloaded BF's new patch, and got that program optirun from www.flagball.com. All in all its a great combonation and BF is running great.

Now, i just have another question, and it may sound stupid since i'm new to the game. Im thinking about downloaded the EoD conversion and the Desert conversion, now, will this change my whole game permanately? or can i go back to the original BF1942? (Levels,Missions,Vehicles). What i'm saying is can i choose to play the Desert version one time and the original the next, or is it permanately changed? Thanks a lot guys!

Yes you can play the original whenever you want. You just need to activate the new mods to play them when you want them. (or create shortcuts for them.)

u just run bf off the normal disc, then when you play online you just look at the type of server to see what it is, ie. desert combat eod etc.

all of this after installing the mods.

so to answer your question, it doesn't change it at all, except for you play on a server hosting that mod. normal servers running 1942 will stay the same.
