:cya: :cya: :cya:
LOL it does suck big time!!!
ok i've got a laptop, so i dont think i can change graphic cards..
my specs: p3(m) 1.13ghz 512 ram Intel 830 chipset graphics card.
i play Jedi Knight 2, Quake 3, Counter-Stike and Warcraft 3 all very well.
but i want to play this too!!! :(
AS you can all see in the screen shot, imagine when i'm IN game!!
when i DONT zoom, its ok... but then i cant see behind the stretching shat. and remember, zooming is ESSENTIAL in this game :o
well hope you can help. thanks for replying :naughty:
According to Intel there are no known issues with the 830 chipset that cause problems with BF1942 (at least according to their game compatibilty list, right here: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/gaming/82830.htm)
So I suggest this may be your problem - a quote from the Intel website:
Full compatibility with versions of Microsoft* DirectX* up to 8.1 is available with version 10.1.2 (or later) of the graphics drivers for the Intel(R) 830M/MG chipsets.
So I would check your driver version and if you have an earlier version dowload the latest one from here:
and see if that helps. In any case installing the latest driver versions is highly recomended by intel. Good luck

apocalypse_kid, you are a legend! The tree stretching B.S is now gone!! Its bloody awesome!
So i wanna thank you!
Hey i was hoping, you could help me, i'm playing campaign, and in the level Toruk (5th mission? defending 5 posts) well the game freezes. so i have to Alt-F4 the game. Any idea? should i just wait a while? or is there anything i can do?
well thanks again! :cya:
After the first demo single player mission I never touched single player again, so I can't really help with this one, however if it works for all the pevious missions it should work for Tobruk. I am wondering if it is a memory problem - but you have 512Mb ram so that really shouldn't be an issue. What about your virtual memory? Is that handled by windows or did you set it yourself, I have noticed in some cases that the game freezes if you set a fixed swap file size, even though it may be big enough for the games requirements.
Would suggest asking the question on the forums for further help, there may others having similar problems.

P.S. Glad to hear your visuals are OK now.
