I have been using v1.1 for a while....everything was fine. Then, when I got the v1.2 I could play a session (online multiplayer), but when the game ended and changed levels, a message would pop up saying like " insert correct CD". I've downloaded severl v1.2's from various sites including EA Austrailia as recent as 11/29/2002. Also, when the ERROR message comes up, my desktop seems to have been changed to: 32bit color and it's highest resolution. What the heck is going on!? I have a XP 2000 512 RAM and GF4TI4200 128MB. Also running XP. THANKS!!

After the game changes "battle scenes", for example Tobruk to Battleaxe, my CD-rom drive doesn't recognize ANY discs that are in there. It says I have an I/O devise error. ??? What the hell does that mean? I have to restart my 'puter to play again. Thanks!

I suggest you look at this: http://www.fileserver.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/idx-bf12.rar This is the no-cd fix I and many others use and it works well, just make sure you read the .nfo for proper installation.

Get someone who knows how to construct a computer and ask them to check all your connections, i.e. hard drive is connected proper ly to the motherboard as well as the cd-rom drive(s).
