Yeah, it sure can. Have you tried it on another board... Does the fan even work when it's on? Any warranty?

Fan works. This is the only computer i have with AGP. Warranty yes. I even uninstalled the onboard video and it doesnt work yet.

I have a picture and it has lines on the monitor. Maybe its not enough voltage to the card? I know it needs 350 watt power supply. Id hate to take it back but it seems thats the only thing.

ok, has the gpu been screwed with or has the fan had any mechanical errors, cause sometimes that can cause lines and crap all over the screen... If it's under warranty, I'd take it back ASAP.

well, its possible, good idea with the 9800, if you can take that back and exchange for a 9800 do it!

well, to me it sounds like a hardware problem, the lines and everything don't sound good... if you have boot into safe mode and you still get the lines it has to be hardware. Either your mobo or your card is @#$%#@, but my guess would be the card. I wouldn't mess with the card much cause if you touch one thing on it - bye bye warranty. But it's your call.

Ok. How can i make windows recognize my onboard video? I uninstalled it to get my card to work of course that didnt help.

Disable onboard video in bios like Shord said. Also check to make sure AGP is your initial display. If you were runiing off of onboard your bios may have defaulted back to pci. Not sure about that though as Ive never had a mobo with onboard video.
