I have had the same problem with bf1942, and mohaa... I can be playing and all of the sudden my video goes wacky , with all funny colors, like pastels.I can barely make out what is on the screen. I have a Radeon 7000 v-card,Athlon 1200, 256 ram ... It plays for the most part, but every now and then it does this. I have to reboot to clear the problem.I have turned all the settings to low, video & sound.I am running windows xp. Any suggestions out there.......

2 things. More ram and a better video card will help.

You need to remember that Your OS (XP, right?) is sucking up close to half of your RAM just in normal operations. This game is worth the investment in a new card; it's more fun to turn it everything up and enjoy the game than it is to try and turn everything down to make it work.

This just started happening to me. I have played battlefield nearly every day for the last 5 months without any problems, and just recently the graphics started flickering, pink blotches started showing up, and most objects are invisible. The game is unplayable in it's current state. I reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled windows and got new drivers for all my hardware, and the problem is exactly the same... if anyone has any ideas what could have happened I would greatly appreciate some help.

I have tried versions 1, 1.2, 1.25, 1.3, the Road to Rome expansion, and the DC mods, and the problem appears in all of them, on every map.

System: Windows XP Home Pentium 4 2.0 GHz 512MB SDRAM Radeon 8500LE 128MB

ok, so I pulled out my video card and blew the dust out of the fan, and made sure it had a good seat... problem solved.
