Quick way to level up is to 1. Make your major skills : Blade,Conjuration , Illusion , Alteration 2.Then use the spells over and over again (helps if you can make a very very weak one at a spell making altar. 3. After plenty of use you should be around level 20 which means you at a good high point to start of doing quests to get your blade up which equals

High level

My major skills are: Blade Heavy Armor Athletics Destruction Mysticism Restoration Alteration This is the best setup I have ever played. You get levelups just for walking. With this setup everything you do contributes to your level, such as healing, making light, feathering loads, running, fighting, missing blocks, casting fireballs and the sort. It's just good. I'm level 16 right now. When I was around lvl 4 I decided to jump to level ten, which I did, and I could still level! Then after a while I decided to go to 15 and could still level afterwards. I'm really not too certain on how many levels I'm able to jump right now. Maybe I'll create a new save and then try it. Good idea behind the thread 501Capt, but it just needs a little more meat to it's bones (such as tips not many people know).

thats a pretty bad idea cause then there would be tough creatures and no way for you to fight them

Yes, but if you're a high lvl and your skill that you want to use is low, it'll be harder to kill stuff. And is easy to do quests low or high lvl.

What possible reason could there ever be to level up 'quickly' in a game like Oblivion? There are no other players to impress, and everything levels up around you... my main character cannot level up any further, and the game is still pretty much just as difficult as it was before! In fact, by levelling up quickly all you're doing is making some of the main campaign quests impossible... i.e. any quests which involve keeping an NPC alive, because those NPCs don't level up with you.

Or maybe trying to break the Siege of Kvatch with a level 20 character? What kind of badass Daedra you'll face - that soldier inside Oblivion probably won't last three seconds.
