Before I start anything, let me say that I believe this may only work once, if not an all, since it never worked for me a second time on the same profile, but I thought it would be extremely worth it to post about it here. If it doesn't work anybody other than me, then I have a backup topic for this thread so it doesn't go to waist. That will be mentioned at the bottom of this post. I was playing Oblivion one day and I thought that, since I was a master of Conjuration, that I would create some awsome Conjuration spells. So, I went to my Spellmaking Altar in Frostcrag Spire, (expansion pack) and created a "Bound Armor" spell, which is bound helmet, cuirass, greaves, gauntlets, shield, and boots for 120 secs. Well, I cast the spell and dropped all of the bound items for some reason. When the spell ran out, the bound items were still there! So I picked them up and they were real! So I got all daedric armor, that weighs nothing whatsoever, and it offers the same protection as real daedric armor! I don't know if this was glitch or something, (probably) or it just happens for me. I also don't know if it works for the PC or not, since I use the 360 version, but here's how to do it: Requirements: Conjuration skill of 100, 174 points of Magicka, about 500-700 gold or somewhere in that area. Might be 1000, I don't remember. You also need to be a member of the Mage's Guild to use the Spellmaking Altars. Or you can use the ones in Frostcrag Spire in the expansion pack. Directions: Create the spell. Make sure you can create a spell with the required bound items. (greaves, gauntlets, helmet, etc.) To do this, find and buy spells that use these bound items. Once you have all of the items, (a total of six) you can begin to create the spell. When it's done, cast the spell and then drop all of the bound items. When the spell wears out, pick the items up. There you go. Free Daedric armor that encumber you 0 points. Other notes: You can't do this with weapons, at least, I don't think so. I think it might of worked because I had more than one bound item. It might of been that. This also worked for me 2 other ways, 1: Use the Bound Armor spell, then equip all of the other armor you had before you use the spell. When the spell runs out and you aren't wearing the bound armor, they will be in your inventory. 2: Use the Bound Armor spell, then wait for an hour, (game time, not real life, of course.) You'll hear the bound items being unequipped from you, but when your done waiting, they'll be in your inventory. These other two ways also only worked only once for me. Also note that if it does work for you, you can't sell them, well, you can ut you won't get any money. Again, if this doesn't work for you, I'm sorry, this was just so cool at the time and I thought it would be worth it to tell other people. And please let me know if this works for you or if it doesn't. After you're done tring it, you can "vote" whether I should tell you more specifically how to do this, or if you just want forget about this daedric armor thing and use the backup topic. The "key words" for these are: "Be more specific." and "Use backup topic." First once to 8 votes wins. Anyway, on to the backup topic: What's something wierd, cool, or funny that's happened to you in the game? For example, horses getting stuck on top of stairs and them doing their falling action. It looks like they're flying! Another example is when you put a "Curse of Fatigue" on an enemy that constantly damages the enemy's fatigue. After a while, constantly cast damage fatigue spells at the enemy and then, because of the enemy's constant low fatigue, they will just pass out and do a face plant in the dirt if the enemy is running.

im pretty sure this was fixed in a patch a while ago. do you have the latest patch(if the 360 has patches) or shivering isles?
I didn't have any patches installed at the time no. And it wasn't on Shivering Isles. But I never thought of patches. So I guess you can't have the latest patch for this to work. But anyway, I found out how to get it to work every time. You need to be an expert at armorer to repair the bound items beyond 100% and up to 125%. Once you have the bound armor, repair them beyond 100% and then you will be able to drop the bound armor and pick them up after the spell runs out. Just make sure you don't have the latest patch that fixes this.... Oh and will any of these patches fix the constant lag I'm getting along with the sound problems? The sound problem being that the sound sometimes stops completely and then comes back all at the same time. And the fact that the game freezes for a little bit, and that my game... well you get the idea, will these patches fix these? Oh I forgot one. -_- All the sprites in the game are screwed up. They're going faster than normal. For example: When I cast a frost spell, when it hits something, instead of the white stuff staying on the wall for a while, it disentegrates really fast. This happens with all fires, spells, etc.
Yes, that's a problem with all Xbox 360 versions of the game. I read somewhere that after a certain amount of gameplay time, the things you mentioned happen.
Same thing happens to my 360. I have a question, though - for your game, does the game freeze and/or sound problem occur when you're in a city? (It doesn't on my game).
I too wouldn't mind knowing if the patches fix that (I would test it myself, but I don't have Xbox Live)
The sound problem happens to me in the city most of the time yes, and it seems like everytimein the same spot. For me, it's behind the one house at the waterfront where y join the Theive's Guild, but it does occationally happen anywhere. The game freezes just about anywhere too. Before, I had these problems and a lot more, but I fixed them with the help of customer support at Bethesda Studios. The two things that I think helped me was this: Hold down the A button as the game is booting up. This will clear the game's cache. You will NOT lose any saved games. 2: In the 360 dashboard, or "home" as I like to call it, go to system, memory, and then press Y or something like that. Or, to dumb it down, go to the screen in the dashboard where you have the "format" and I think delete option and then press X, X, RB, LB, X, X or something like that. mix and match with these buttons until you get an option to perform maintence on your 360. I think this helped me a little bit, but clearing the cache works best. I haven't downloaded a patch yet, but I will soon. I'll explain this a little better in my next post, I can't think real good right now. :P

your lucky, your sound comes back, i have to exit the game cause all i hear is static. it happens everytime i load oblivion after just starting up my pc. then randomly as the day goes on. i dont think you can do much about lag on the 360. for pc i just lowerd object/ai/tree/grass distance.
I think Oblivion is just too good for anyone's computers. My friend has a bloody awesome computer because he can play Oblivion completely lag free - only thing is, he spent like $400 upgrading the video card alone, plus another $1000 on memory and ram upgrades.
Assassin - thanks for the tip about the "A" button while loading, I'll try that. As for the thing regarding 'home base' and the button combo.... I'm sorry I have no clue about that.
Ok, now I remember how to do the maintenance thing on the 360: 1. Turn on your 360, but do NOT start a game, I'll wait for you..... 2. ....Welcome back :P Then, go to the "System" tab on the dashboard. 3. Once you have the system tab up, go to "Memory". You should see a list of your storage devices. Press Y. 4. You should now have two options: "Format" and "Rename". While on this screen, press these buttons on your controller in this order: X, X, LB, RB, X, X. You will get another tab asking you if you want to perform maintenance on you 360. Select "Yes" and there you go. This might work for you and it might not, but it's worth a try. It didn't help me much, at least, I don't think so. I think the problem for me was the 360 overheating, since I'm always playing either Oblivion or Gears of War, but when I gave the 360 a break while I went to bed, about 12 hours later it was working better. Oh by the way, by doing the maintenance thing on your 360, you just lost all of your saved games and have to start all over. :bawl: NOT!!! LoL!!!!!! Oh man, I just had to do it, srry bout that, I probably gave you a fatal heartattack and now your laying on the floor gasping for life, would this be considered murder? Plz don't hate me..... :naughty:
The A button to clear the cache while loading has really helped - the game only froze up once inside Cheydinal. I haven't left the cities long enough to check the wilderness.
