I have decided to start playing Elder Scrolls 4 again. But I have to decide what I am going to buy it for... I have a PC that can handle it, but I can only play it some of the time on it. I have a PS3, and an XBOX 360 that I can play it on all the time, but I can't get the expansions or any mods for it. I can't decide what to do. You guys got any preferences?

Actually, you can get updates, mods, and the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine expansions off of the Xbox Marketplace (Xbox Live). PS3... well, that's not exactly the most popular gaming system, I don't think there's anything for that yet.

The only caution - if you buy for Xbox, after about 20 hours of gameplay, Oblivion will start to freeze up often... and other times, the sound will go, then the game will freeze for a while, then all the sounds all occur at once and everything unfreezes itself. This may or may not occur on the PS3 (the one person I know who has a PS3 hates RPGs).

So far, another of my friends has had no problems with Oblivion on PC. Everyone else I know who has Oblivion has it for Xbox 360.

It is a huge pity that Xbox live doesnt make all Mods for free as you can get them free on PC but not xbox 360 even though they are owned by the same organisation. Wonder if anyone knows how to transfare a mod from PC to 360

Mods are community-made programs written for the PC version of Oblivion using a PC, of all things. They can't be transferred to the 360, and it's doubtful if this will ever change. If you want to play with mods, you have to play with the PC, that's the way it has always been.

Uh, What? I understand you have all of the TES's for the PC? So do I. TES 2 cost 80 bucks on Amazon, lol. And you can download Arena from Bethesda's website.
