Extract all the files to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data. Then, go to the oblivion launcher and click on Data Files, and 'check' the box of the mod you have, click ok and play.

If you better explain the problem some one would find it easier to help I think. :)

um..... you DO have to. AND you do extract it there, and look at the readme for the mod perhaps? if it doesn't come with a readme, the mod is probably not good quality, i.e. crappy mod.

Make sure if you are using a program like zipgenius that it didn't make a subfolder under where you extracted it. (Look for something like another data directory under the one you already have, the name of your mod, or something out of place there)

Otherwise, when you extract it to the data subdirectory, it should appear in the Plugin menu regardless.
